MergeKit terms of use
Updated: 25 October 2026
These terms apply to your use of MergeKit, offered by Innova Apps. By using MergeKit, you agree to these terms. If you use it for an organization, you are responsible for having that organization's permission. For questions, contact support@innovaapps.ai.
What MergeKit provides
MergeKit helps you create personalized documents from spreadsheet rows using a template and output folder you choose. The Google Sheets™ add-on depends on Google Apps Script, Google Docs™ and Google Drive™ and on your account's permissions and quotas. The separate browser workbench has its own supported input/output formats and limits. Features and limits are described in the product interface and support guide.
Plans, billing and cancellation
The Free plan includes 25 newly admitted merges per Google Account per UTC calendar month across spreadsheets and Google Forms™ triggers. Teacher is USD $29 per year, Pro is USD $79 per year, and Domain is USD $299 per year. Paid plans have no MergeKit monthly merge cap; Google's quotas and the product's technical limits continue to apply.
Teacher and Pro each cover one Google Account. Teacher is a self-declared educator discount: by selecting it you confirm that you are an educator. Domain covers members of one Google Workspace™ domain identified by Google's verified domain claim. A matching email suffix alone is insufficient. Membership does not confer administrator privileges, change Google sharing permissions or prove authority to act for an organization. You remain responsible for any organizational permission needed to buy or use the service.
A new merge uses one allowance when the row is authorized for generation, before a file is created. Doc and PDF outputs for the same job count together. A failed generation does not automatically restore the allowance. Retries of the identical already-authorized saved job reuse its grant, including after cancellation or a month change; a deliberately reset or newly created job counts again. An unfinished version-2 or other pre-billing job with no previous billing grant uses one allowance when first admitted by the billing release. Completed rows are still skipped.
Free allowance resets at 00:00 UTC on the first day of each month and does not roll over. Newly admitted jobs on paid plans also contribute to monthly usage. If paid access ends, the remaining Free allowance is 25 minus that month's total usage, with a minimum of zero. Existing grants do not expire with the monthly counter.
Paid subscriptions renew automatically each year until cancelled. Stripe checkout displays the recurring amount before purchase. These MergeKit annual terms apply to MergeKit's paid plans; the monthly Pro description in Innova Apps' general terms does not change their annual billing period. Applicable tax, if any, is handled by Innova Apps through its existing process outside Stripe. Stripe Checkout does not automatically calculate tax. Contact support for tax or invoice questions before purchasing. Cancel using the Stripe billing portal to stop the next renewal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period and otherwise eligible paid access continues until then. Uninstalling MergeKit, disabling a Form trigger or removing Google access does not cancel billing.
Changing between paid plans during an active subscription is not supported. Manage or cancel the existing subscription and wait until it ends before purchasing a different paid plan. Domain members may use the covered plan, but only the subscription's purchaser can manage its billing account.
Checkout completion alone is not proof that payment or plan activation succeeded. Refresh the add-on's plan after payment verification. If access for a new job cannot be verified, MergeKit shows an unavailable state and pauses that job instead of silently treating an unknown account as Free or unlimited. An already-authorized saved job can still retry during a Stripe outage if your identity and its stored grant can be verified; an unreachable billing service or failed identity check can prevent that retry.
Innova Apps offers a seven-day refund policy for new Pro subscriptions. Contact support@innovaapps.ai within seven days of starting a new Pro subscription to request a refund. Other refund requests, including Teacher and Domain requests, are reviewed individually. Cancelling stops future renewal; it does not itself issue a refund. Refund processing and subscription cancellation are separate actions. Nothing in these terms limits any refund, withdrawal or other rights that apply by law. A processed refund, payment dispute or fraud warning suspends the affected subscription’s paid access; it does not itself stop renewal. Already-authorized saved jobs retain their grants. Another eligible paid plan or any remaining Free allowance may still permit new jobs. Contact support about the affected subscription.
Your content and responsibilities
You keep your rights in the data, templates and documents you provide or create. You permit MergeKit to access and process them as needed to perform the features you request, as described in the privacy policy. You are responsible for having the necessary rights and permissions to use that content and for the people who can access your spreadsheet and output folder.
Review source values, templates and generated documents before using or distributing them. Keep backups of important information. Do not edit, sort or restructure a spreadsheet during a merge, copy recovery snapshots between rows, or clear an uncertain job without checking its existing files. Enabling a form-submit trigger allows processing under your account until you disable it or access is removed.
Use MergeKit lawfully. Do not use it to infringe others' rights, abuse Google services, bypass access controls, disrupt the service or attempt unauthorized access.
Availability and output
Google service limits, administrator policies, revoked permissions, network failures and source/template changes can affect a merge. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, a particular processing speed, or that every document layout or external template feature will be supported. Recovery may require your review when an interrupted file operation cannot be safely confirmed. Deliberately resetting a job can create additional copies.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, MergeKit is provided as available without additional warranties about its suitability for your particular purpose. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights or responsibilities that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Third-party services
Google services are governed by their own terms and your agreement with Google. Your organization may impose additional rules. Checkout and subscription management use Stripe, whose applicable terms govern its services. Google product names describe compatibility; Google does not endorse MergeKit. MergeKit does not import or promise compatibility with another add-on's jobs, settings or full feature set.
Stopping use
You may stop using MergeKit, disable your form-submit trigger, uninstall the add-on and revoke its Google Account access. Cancel billing separately in the billing portal to stop renewal. Existing generated files and spreadsheet data remain under your control and are not automatically removed. Follow the retention and removal information in the privacy policy. We may restrict access when necessary to address abuse, security issues, legal obligations or service changes.
Updates and support
We may update MergeKit and these terms. The current terms are available on this page with their update date; material changes will be communicated where appropriate. Contact support@innovaapps.ai for assistance. No particular response time is promised.
