Built around UK records
Quarterkeep uses British English and pounds sterling. Keep self-employment and UK property sources separate, recording each date, amount and HMRC category. The app does not connect to HMRC or submit quarterly updates or tax returns.
Quarters and preparation
View a single period or cumulative category totals from the start of the tax year. Choose standard or calendar periods to suit your filing workflow. Premium adds local reminders and an indicative UK tax estimate; your full liability also depends on circumstances outside the app.
Free and Premium
One income source, unlimited records and quarterly category figures are free. Premium adds more sources, CSV/PDF export, estimates, reminders and receipt photos. Premium offers monthly or yearly automatically renewing subscriptions. The App Store shows your local price and any offer for which you are eligible. Manage or cancel in your Apple Account subscription settings at least 24 hours before renewal.
CSV for transfer, PDF for review
Check that your HMRC-compatible filing software or digitally linked spreadsheet can import the app’s CSV format. PDF is for checking and sharing; it neither files information nor creates a digital link. Compatibility with every filing product is not promised.
Local ledger records
Record keeping and calculations work offline without an account or bank connection. We do not receive your ledger or receipt photos. Apple handles purchases and sends us purchase information for analytics, administration and security. Quarterkeep is independent of HMRC and does not provide tax advice.
